Vehicle-buying Scheme for Govt Employees ----> 'Apun Bahan' scheme for permanent State Govt employees to be implemented for purchasing motor vehicles Highlights • State Govt to provide interest subvention against motor vehicle loans from scheduled commercial banks, regional rural banks and Assam Cooperative Apex Bank notified & recognised by Reserve Bank of India • Male employees to get 2% interest subsidy for purchasing diesel/petrol vehicles and 3% subsidy for electric vehicles, while woman & divyangan (differently abled) employees to get 3% interest subsidy for purchasing any kind of vehicle • Scheme to be available for regular State Govt employees between 21 and 53 years to ensure the maximum loan tenure of 7 years falls within the service period of the employees • Maximum loan amount to either 48 times the net monthly income or 15 lakh, whichever is lower
