Towards Flood Preparedness ---- Amendment of the Assam Disaster Management Manual 2015 for: • Revision of the flood season in Assam from 1 May to 31 October annually Rationalisation of the fodder rate for flood affected livestock - Notification of flood season from 1 May to 31 October will contribute immensely towards flood preparedness and mitigation process in the State - Rationalisation of fodder rate for flood affected livestock will ensure better maintenance of the animals' health in a disaster-like situation || Regulating Microfinance Sector --- To regulate the Microfinance sector of Assam in most effective manner and avoid duplicity in regulations, approval to proposal for amendment to the Assam Micro Finance Institutions (Regulation of Money Lending) Act, 2020. ||| Enhancing Assam Police Capabilities --- - Administrative Approval for an additional amount of ₹41.77 Crore for construction of newly raised 2nd Assam Police Battalion at Kachurtal in Hailakandi, 4th Battalion at Geleky in Sivasagar and 5th Battalion at Pabhoi in Biswanath. - This will expedite the construction of the Commando Battalions at the aforementioned locations, which will greatly enhance the capabilities of the State's Police force.
