■ Moving towards a Green Energy Regime ► Cabinet has approved the Memorandum of Understanding between M/s Reliance Bio-Energy Limited and Govt. of Assam for promoting Compressed Biogas Sector in the State ► As per the understanding, a network of integrated compressed bio-gas infrastructure will be established in the State. This initiative will ensure ➧Reduction of pollution created by fossil fuels without endangering food security ➧Significant employment and income for the farmers, by developing Biovalue chain ecosystem

■ Expanding Social Security Net for Tea Garden Employees ► To remove the ambiguity and inconsistency regarding Class of employees entitled and required to join the Fund, Cabinet has approved Amendment of Para 22 and 29 of Assam Tea Plantations Provident Fund & Pension Fund Scheme, 1968 ► The amendments will allow P.F deductions from the class of employees who get over and above the Salary of 215,000 and thereby remove the ambiguity and inconsistency regarding deduction of PF from employees drawing wages/salary more than 15,000/month ► All employees will thus be entitled to benefits of Provident Fund, irrespective of their salary bracket

■ Ensuring Jan Arogya through Free Drugs and Consumables ► To ensure public health and ensure timely and affordable treatment of patients in the State, Cabinet has accorded approval to Sanction of funds for procurement of Drugs, Surgicals & Consumables ► The scheme will ensure provisioning of essential drugs, surgical items, consumables and linens free of cost to all Medical College Hospitals of the State including super-specialty treatment in 12 Medical Colleges, State Cancer Institute & Regional Dental College and Tea Garden Hospitals ► The total cost approved for the scheme is 175cr

■ Hike in Dearness Allowance ► Following Union Govt's decision to hike rates of Dearness Allowance (DA)/Dearness Relief (DR) for its employees and pensioners, the Cabinet has also accorded approval to hike DA/DR of State Govt employees and pensioners by 3% ► With this hike, the DA/DR for State Govt employees and pensioners will now be 53% w.e.f July 1st, 2024 ► The enhanced rate of 53% DA/DR shall be paid along with the monthly pay/ pension of October 2024 and will be payable in November, 2024 ► The arrear DA/DR for the months of July, August, September and October, 2024 will be provided in four (4) equal installments in the months of December, 2024, January, February and March, 2025 respectively

►Cabinet has also approved launch of two other services alongside Mission Basundhara 3.0 • Digital Repository for non-registrable/optional registrable • Publishing 304 draft maps prepared under Re Survey pilot for reconstruction of damaged/missing maps in Cadastral villages of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia in Bhunaksha for public viewing • Cabinet has also approved a liberalised settlement premium of ₹5,000 per bigha for Coffee and Rubber Plantation land ► Shaping up the future through Superlative Roads and Schools ▸To accelerate the State's growth and empower the citizens, Cabinet has accorded approval to improving and strengthening of 108 rural roads and construction of 126 secondary schools in the State ▸The project will improve rural connectivity in 26 districts of...

► Launching Soon: Mission Basundhara 3.0 ► To carry forward the legacy of Mission Basundhara 1.0 and 2.0 towards offering comprehensive land related services through a digitized citizen centric framework, Cabinet has approved launch of Mission Basundhara 3.0 on October 19 with the following services • Review of MB 2.0 rejected cases pending for clarification Relaxation of three generation criteria for SC/ST/Tea Tribe/Ex-Tea Tribe/Adivasi/Gorkha Communities. Further, three-generation domicile requirement will be relaxed for MB 2.0 applicants having Refugee Certificate of a date prior to 25.3.1971
