■ SOP for Aadhar Enrolment in Assam ► To ensure genuineness of Aadhar applicants in Assam, Cabinet has accorded approval to the proposal for implementation of new Standard Operating Procedure under "State Government Portal" for Aadhaar Enrolment in Assam ► Key features of the SoP ■ General Administration Dept (GAD) to be nodal dept for implementation of SoP ■State Govt will verify submitted documents and send them online to UIDAI within 45 days of receipt ■ Additional District Commissioners will oversee Aadhaar enrolment verifications at the district level, while Circle Officers will manage verifications at the Revenue Circle level ■Inspection officers appointed by Circle Officers will ascertain whether applicants have applied for NRC in the state of Assam ■Inspection officials must verify whether the applicant resides at the submitted address ■The requirement of NRC application will not be applicable to Govt Officers serving in the State
