Providing Platform to Budding Sportspersons ------ ► To encourage upcoming sporting talent and to carry forward the success of the Khel Maharan movement, Cabinet has accorded approval to an SOP for providing assistance to one Youth Club/Sports Association in each of the 126 Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) ▸ Each Youth Club/Sports Association will be provided with 15 lakh of which ₹5 lakh will be earmarked for development of Infrastructure / electrification etc (to be used as a flexipool) in case of standalone Youth clubs which do not have requisite infrastructure of their own ► From the balance ₹10lakh, necessary sporting equipment, based on requirement raised by local committee which will be headed by DC, will be provided by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare All equipment will be procured by the Dept through GeM Youth Clubs/Sports Association will be selected by the District Committees as per the guidelines to be issued by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department
